Sasha-Nícole Cory (she, her, they) provides a positive and affirming environment for people on their journey to growth and healing. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She provides counseling to individuals, families, and couples. Sasha understands that families can show up in our lives in many different ways. She has experience in working with diverse family structures, and comes from a multicultural and bilingual background. Sasha understands the challenges of navigating and thriving when living outside the majority culture.

Education

Sasha earned a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University, here in Nashville, as well as a Master’s degree in Education from Lamar University. Sasha brings two decades of teaching and social service experience into her therapy practice. In addition to being a therapist and educator, Sasha is a mom of three.

My Style

Sasha is warm, knowledgeable, and experienced in working with LGBTQ individuals and families and people from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. She provides culturally proficient counseling, in English & Spanish. Sasha believes in balancing a creative and experiential approach with practical skills, assessment and coaching to help you get wherever you or your family want to go! She uses a variety of “hands on” therapeutic techniques such as Sandplay therapy, parts work, narrative therapy, and CBT strategies to help you grow. Sasha can also provide animal assisted therapy with her dog Percy!

Hobbies

When Sasha is not practicing therapy you will most likely find her curled up with a book, or hiking and exploring Nashville with her dogs and her family!
